How Many Mosquito Rasboras

1187 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  BettaBettas
2 questions actually; is a mosquito rasbora the same as a chili rasbora?
Other question is How many of those (chili's or mosquitos) for a five gallon long tank, heavily planted? I read that about four or five chili's is equivalent to one neon within their biological footprint... So im presuming their bio load is a step above a shrimp.
Thanks in Advance.

Yes they are both Boraras briggitae.
As for how many you could have, maybe 8? Some people would put more, but I think 10 is the maximum I would go for.

Thank you Opare for the reply, I must say though this thread is now worthless as the next day (today) I went into town and got five CPD's instead, so far im not regretting my selection choice, Beautiful colorations.
No worries I really like CPDs too, and haven't found them to be as shy as people say TBH. They are usually out and about for me.

True! when I brought them home, even now they aren't hiding where they could be. They are out in the open roamin' around like you said :) Will have to repeat they are just such a pretty fish in person, the orange on them is what really makes them pop
