Long time lurker first time poster, so I apologize in advance if you guys already covered this.
I have a 40 gallon tank with about 24 cardinal tetras, a bristle nosed pleco and a betta. Just wondering what's the maximum amount of ghost shrimp and RCS I can have?
Once these guys start growing I'll eventually move them to a 55 gallon I have in storage but for now with the 40 gallon how many can I get.
I would say there's a 99% chance that the betta and cardinal tetras would eat the red cherry shrimp within just a few days. Pretty expensive snack. Ghost shrimp may be OK because their larger try to get adults. I just dropped some ghost shrimp in with my German blue rams and the ghost shrimp have fought off the German blue rams and now the Rams leave them alone. To answer the question of how many you could probably do 20 or so ghost shrimp.
