Hi,

I am new to this site and somewhat new to shrimp keeping. I have a 30 gallon planted tank that I want to introduce shrimp to. A friend is giving me some Crystal Reds (S grade) and some Cherry shrimp. I would like to know how many I can keep of each in this medium planted tank? My substrate is Eco-Complete, ph 7.4, using ro and tap maybe 70% ro. My temp is 75. The TDs is this matters is kept around 150 to 180.

I do not have anything else in the tank as I was going to get Rams but decided on shrimp since the offer was made to get free shrimp!

Probably a couple hundred easily ^^

You cherry shrimp will breed like crazy and out compete you Crs. I'd separate them. For me, keeps my Crs from breeding.
