how long for malachite green to clear?
So i added medicine that my local fish store recommended for my fish troubles and it turned my water a very strong green. i'm guessing the active ingredient is malachite green. Here in malaysia the mediine in my local fish store has no ingredients and is some chinese brand...
anyway, how long can i expect before this stuff clears? its beena few hours already and its still very green. So far it doesn't seem to have killed any fish. Should i water change this crap out of my tank or leave it in?

Gonna have to do water changes. Or add activated carbon (after treatment is done of course)

the instructions on the bottle said would not discolour water... so i was in 2 minds whether to follow the treatment course! thanks for the replies.

Lol, note down that you never, ever... completely follow med instructions you got from your LFS. Never.instructions on the bottle said would not discolour water...
Well Malachite Green is a dye/stain, so not sure why the product would say it doesn't discolor.

Turns out it took 12 hours to go, i have carbon in the filter apparently!
