How long do CO2 diffusers last before they need cleaned(if thats possible) or replaced?

The glass diffusers with the ceramic discs will last, as long as they are well taken care of.

When cleaning them, you can dip them into a 19:1 bleach dilution for a few minutes, followed by a longer bath in a solution of water with 2x the recommended amount of dechlorinator. You can also squirt a bit of hydrogen peroxide onto the disc. You should not scrub the disc, as this may damage the small pores on the ceramic disc.

when you notice an abundance of algea impeading the flow of co2 bubbles. when the bubbles are not that micro any more. or when it looks really green:hihi:
