Hi,

If you have 2 pc bulb over a 10 gal. total of 80w, w/ pressurized co2. Do you have both bulbs light at the same time or have 1 light now and have the 2nd one later? I am targeting a 8 hour photo period w/ alot of high light plants that are slow to grow, how do you divide the the light hours.

I am also avoiding algae as much as possible because of the high light.

Thanks

Thats alot of light. If I had the option of two bulbs at that wattage, I'd try to simulate a natural lighting peroid. Maybe a couple of hours with one light for a "morning", both lights for an "afternoon", and then kill a light later for and "evening". Maybe: 3 hours/2 hours/3 hours.

I'm not sure how your avoiding algae with high light though. Unless you get that baby dialed in with co2 and ferts right away, I could see algae getting out of hand real quick.
