I've got a nice softball of this moss, but it has become infested with hair algae. What kills the algae without harming the moss?

I had a bad case of hair algae, I got 3 amano shrimps bout 2 weeks later no more hair algae.

id get a container an fill it with water and did 1/3 h2o2 toss the moss in there swirl it around left it in if for 1-2 min rinse an put back in tank, if anything was left i did it again in a few days havent seen any come back. also have more flow in your tank id bet you have some dead spots where that is am i right?

It's in a 1.5 gal nano fish/shrimp bowl so there's no filtration or water movement possible. No shrimp or fish either. Just a loose ball of mostly Java moss. I'm worried Excel would kill the moss too.
