How do you heat/circulate your RO water that is waiting to be used?

I have RO/DI system in my basement that the product water empties into a rubbermaid brute trace can and have been using this it for about 10 months. Since it's winter and my basement gets to be in the low 60's it is all to apparent the temp difference from the brute to my 84 degree discus tank, my 82 degree L183 starlight ansistrus tanks and my 73 degree CRS tanks.

What I just did was install a 200w stealth in the center bottom of the brute at 73 degrees. I'm thinking that the properties of thermo dynamics (hot rises cold sinks) will be enough to circulate the the water for an even temp.

What are your thoughts on my set up and what do you currently useand what did you ditch infavor of the current set up?

The way you have it set up will be fine :)
I have almost the exact same setup. I have 32 gal container that I use to collect and store RO water for my weekly water change. I put a medium size heater in it for the winter and I leave the fountain pump that I use to pump my water to the tank. Whenever I remember, I plug the pump in to circulate the water for a few minutes. I try to do that once a day.

Nice thats what I was hoping.

You could always just put it on a timer.
I don't heat it. I intentionally leave it cold. My shrimp and cichlids LOVE the cooler drop, even when doing 50% changes. 60 degree water into 78 degree water only lowers the temp to the low 70's for about 2 hours. This replicates rain, even in the warmest of climates, and I have NEVER seen it cause problems with anything--and it has increased breeding in many of my fish.

I use tap and add water that is near 50 degrees during the winter(after blending) and even that causes no problems.

For circulation I use a cheap airpump with a big pond disk. It is rather noisy though.
When I did use a heater, I put it on top of a brick so it didn't rest on the plastic. I doubt it could cause a real problem, but it was easier than worrying. I use an airpump so I don't have to worry about adding water devoid of oxygen back to the tank. I think more problems are encountered with that than anything else when using TAP water.

It has crossed my mind before but not that pressing. :)
