Just about finnished building a wood canopy for a 6' long 130 gal. tank, and the canopy is 10" tall.
The lighting will be 2x96 watt and 2X55 watt ah supply kits that will be mounted 1.5" of the top.

I was thinking of two fans on the back, and two holes for intake, one on each side of the canopy with a louvered grill and a thin foam filter.
Does this sound like an acceptable layout?

I have one 3" 12 volt fan that I have hooked up to a transformer and been playing around with, seems like the fan moves alot of air in relationship to the vollume of the canopy.

Are two 3" fans enough to keep this setup from getting too hot?

I have one 2" fan on my 5.5g light which keeps it warm/cool, the lighting is the std hood but with 32w of rigging in it!

I would probably add another fan if not two.
