Horny male guppy is chasing forktail rainbowfish?

Title kind of describes it.
Here's the situation; I have a 29 biocube that's being set up for small fish. I have two forktail blue eye rainbows in there. They were constantly bothering eachother, so I put one in a mesh hatchery until I can get a few more. I'm not sure if I have two males, two mean females, or a female and a horny male. Planning to get a few more females to fix the problem, hopefully.
A little while ago, I spotted a nice half-black guppy at a local Petco (a good one) and snatched him up. Ever since I put him in the tank, he's been chasing after the one rainbow who isn't separated. He's nudging at its belly and kind of pressing against it, attempting to mate as far as I can tell.
It's shaped kind of like a female guppy... Is the guppy boy just horny and confused? Is there any possibility that's a male rainbow it's after, or does this mean that the one in the tank is definitely a female?
And how can I make that horny guppy leave the rainbow alone? More rainbows to spread the attention? It's a pretty guppy, I'd like to keep it in there...

Sorry, but guppies are horn dogs!! I had a male guppy/endler trying to make it with a MALE platy. He was not amused. Add some more female guppies at least 2 it would give him something to chase. He might not stop though, I had to get rid of my male platy, the male guppy just would not leave him alone.
Hmm... I'm not planning to make this a guppy breeding tank. Plus, female guppies are a touch large... I'm planning to make it a microfish tank.
Anything else to try? Would having more rainbows to chase make him ease off the one being pestered?
What about female endlers. There about the same size as male guppies.
Then I'd have muttfish AND a whole bunch of babies. I suppose that most endlers at LFstores are gonna be hybrids anyway, but still...
Hmm... I'll give it some thought. Maybe I'll see if my LFS will take muttfish for anything other than feeders.
