I like Honey Crisp too, but I am more of a Granny Smith type of guy.

I just went to a local orchard today and picked up a bag of Jonagolds, and a bag of honeycrisp. My wife's going to make some apple crisp. Mmmmmm

Honeycrisp apples straight from the orchards in Minnesota can not be touched IMHO. My wife makes a KILLER loaf of apple bread with them. This time of year I eat 4 or 4 of them a day. Mmmmm... gonna go grab one now. I have a lot of family up there. My wife is currently in Omaha and when she comes back she is bringing 3 boxes of freshly picked apples back. Her parents went up and hand picked them the weekend before. I can't wait!

Breaburns are pretty good too. Honeycrisp are more expensive, but they sure are worth it.
ISU712, I'll have to find those estival apples. Do they sell them in stores or do you have to find a orchard?

is honeycrisp the new breed out of minnesota?
I heard it on the news but haven't tasted it yet. I hear a new breed is coming out that's a cross of honey and something else.
