Well, can it be done? And if so, how?

That sounds as if some simple PVC tubing will do the trick...guess I could easily do it. Thankx for the video link!
There was another thread on this last year. One guy used clear PVC pipe for the bridge.

i have been trying to find that one. i think the walls of his house were red.
he had the flow alternating directions because he found that otherwise all the fish ended up in one tank.
I found a few today looking around. I been trying to find a good deal on pvc clear.

Clear would seem to be nice so that one could see the fish and it not become just another hiding spot but I have some concerns. Can one make it in a way to clear the walls inside? I know that we never have algae problems but I do have to clean my filter tubes now and then? Maybe I would need to use regular PVC to avoid seeing inside??
Just some thoughts that I have not tried.
To save money, you can probably find regular, clear tubing somewhere and find regular pvc elbows that'll fit.
You can buy clear acrylic tube on Ebay in various large sizes, at pretty good prices. Figuring out a fitting to use to attach and seal the pipe at each end might be difficult. For example 2.5 inch diameter tube is $10 per foot. If you just want an inverted "U" shape, to fit over the top of two adjacent tanks, you could miter cut the tubes and use acrylic cement to "weld" them together - no fittings needed, just something to secure the U in place.

All the ones I have seen don't really have algae in them. Seen one set up for a few years and no algae. I would imagine leaving a fitting loose and cleaning that way if,you have to.
Watched a video that a guy did it with glass. He also explaines how they work and why. Pretty interesting ideas. I found tubing ebay ordered some, going to connect two small fish tanks to try,it.

I've seen a saltwater setup where he built them out of acrylic; glass would be easy enough too. Cheaper, not fittings to deal with, and easier to build them large enough for what ever fish are housed in the tanks. His tang makes a couple hundred trips through them a day.

May want to consider adding a fitting for an airline and attaching an aqualifter to keep air out of it.
