I'm making a jambalaya next week so I'll grab a pic. It aint pretty.
neither is gumbo, nor my tank stand ;)
My tank stand looks pretty nice, but I didn't make it myself.

But if you wanna talk about ugly Louisiana food, I saw a guy eating a Boudin sandwich with mustard. That was gruesome, but looked pretty tasty.
Darn You.... I am officially hungary. Off to the fridge!

I did make a pretty cool in tank breeding trap from a tupaware thing, an airstone and a knife.

what is that? looks like Kim Chi. I have 2 gallon buckets of it in one of my fridge! looks exactly the same.. except it's fermented cabbage with pepper spices!
I have a gas and a wood smoker... I make all kinds of goodies in there and will take pics next time... maybe thursday.

It doesn't have to be a salad.

Try, bacon grease or olive oil, chopped garlic, spinach and a salt & little pepper. Stir fry and serve. If you have some bacon, sprinkle a bit on the spinach.
salad on a plate of bbq should be either pickles or coleslaw :)
French cut green beans. That's what I eat with bbq!

I'll have to make some of my winter chuck roast/soup/stew. Seems to take a different name everytime I make it. Perfected it especially for my finicky dad. It's a crockpot dish... oh how I do luffs my crockpot!
Jaggedfury: It does look a little like kimchi but it is very different ;) Homemade Kimchi is excellent BTW.. love it!

mistergreen: I think it came from Russia but this was a twist on my grandmother's polish recipe.

all this talk of food can't go without... BEER!!! Double Oatmeal Stout. Not as nice as the German flavors though.

It would probably taste better if it didnt blow off into your airlock. Beer in the airlock can contamintae the batch. Id clean and sterilize your lock and fill it with vodka of the same room temp so it doesnt shrink and get sucked into your beer.
the beer was actually fine. wasn't oxidized.. just a little stronger than others I have made. Not as smooth as Guinness, but it wasn't aged either ;)
Nice to see other beer makers on here. I have a 28g kettle and mash tun, 24 carboys, and 11 kegs of various sizes. If my daughted hadnt broke my camera id love to post a pic. I think reefkeeperz makes some too.
