[Cannonbolt]

Small snail about the size of a ladybug right now. It's shell also looks spotted like a ladybug's, but is clear-ish/transparent rather than red. Any ideas? I'd post a picture up but the squirrel-y little thing has eluded me...

Is it like this snail? If so it's a pond or bladder snail.

No, the shell is not pointy - more apple-shaped. The shell was also the same yellowy-transparent but didn't have that mottled look. It was literally small round black spots.

Bladder snail was my first thought as well, but if not that, perhaps Ramshorn then?

I just googled Ramshorn snail and this picture looks like what I've got - the rest of the pictures on Google images didn't really show the spots like this picture/my snail do.

They have the spots when they're young, but they generally fade away (or blend in I suppose?) as they grow.

Good to know. Do you know anything else about them? What do they feed on? Will they reproduce and do I have to have a pair for them to be able to reproduce? Basically, should I take it out the next time I spot it? If it's not going to be a pest, I don't mind it being in the tank.
