Yep, it's a pond snail. If you want them gone, smash them with your finger while there are only a few. They won't really hurt anything though, and if you limit feedings their population can stay reasonable. If you tend to overfeed though, you're going to have zillions of them eventually.
+1 pond snail. Like Jasonpatterson that don't really hurt anything. They don't eat plants either. They will eat some algae if that is a problem in your tank (not sure if it is or not). Also don't overfeed and they will stay reasonable. I have them in my 55 gallon tank. I use to have bunches when I had diatoms and some other algae. Now that those are gone I have just a few in the tank. I don't really see them as they stay at the top on the floating plants mostly. I generally don't have any food for them to eat as I got a bunch of pigs for fish and they everything in the tank till it is gone. LoL
