Hi,
I recently purchased these for my Cherries and none seem to care at all. After an hour, i see the MTS finding them and sucking on the pellets.

Are Cherries really finicky eaters or are these hikari pellets kinda blah?

Otherwise, the shrimp seem to be busy everytime i look in the tank. On some days, they hang upside down on the roots of my floating plants, on other days, they are zooming past the glass in flight. There are two that like to swim around the tank while the others are constantly grazing on algae and moss.

They may be happy with the biofilm in there. Try other foods. How often do you feed? Mine are picky somedays and don't eat. I feed some spinach last night and all my tanks went nuts.
Get some Borneo Wild food (sold here by members) and you'll notice how crazy your shrimp will go. I feed it all the time and the shrimp are literally running from all directions...I'm still trying to figure out how they know that the food is in the tank.

yeah, shrimp can be very picky eaters. mine do not care for blanched spinach for some reason even though it's healthy...wish they liked it.
I have 3 planted tanks with only cherries. All I feed them is hikari algae wafers and they also come running.

I use the algae wafers too and all my tanks love them as well.
Mine took some time to get use to the Hikari food but they eventually find it and tear it up
