Halfway through rescaping a tank, went to get the hardscape today and was speaking to the guy and said about shrimps, I’ve kept shrimps before but only in a community tank, so never purely a shrimp tank.

Been offered a swap for all the fish in the tank for some nice shrimps.

How different would a shrimp tank be to keeping fish keeping in mind I will have co2 getting in?

There's a lot of different shrimp out there. Assuming you're talking about the more common dwarf shrimp there's still a considerable difference between keeping caridina or neocaridina. Neocardina are easy and do well with the same parametes as a community tank. Caridina do better in soft water with a fairly low PH
