I’m going to add some plant to fulfil an empty space in the right corner of my tank (marked on green). Initially I thought that Amazon Sword would do the job, but it doesn’t grow as high as I expected. My tank is 70cm and apparently my Echinodorus Bleherae goes only to 1/3 of tank high.

What would you recommend?

Temp is 28C plus some CO2

I have a huge mass of rotala rotundifolia that would fill that area nicely.

Hmm.. crypto and vallisneria might work. Im also thinking about Aponogeton or Mexican sword, thoughts?

I don’t know enough about Mexican Swords or Aponogeton but I think Ludwigia repens would look really good in there.
Val would too.
Rotala rolufondia would also be what I was thinking.
Maybe even if you like water sprite or pennywort? I have so many favorite background plants Lol.

I think primrose would look nice it grows fast and does well with CO2

oh and you could do watercress but it is quite fragile and might not do good directly against a wall.

A line of jungle vals would easily fill up that background. Easy and low maintenance.

If you want to trim every week, splash in some Rotala and Ludwigia species for color and texture.
