Hi. I. Here to introduce myself. I have 2 aquariums. I have a heavily planted 23 gallon tank with 7 neon tetras, 6 sterbai cory catfish, 1 guppy and 5 cherry shrimp. I am going to add a dwarf gourami in a few weeks. My other tank is a 3 gallon with a very old betta. I thought while this thread was up I may as well ask some questions!

Can I add coral to my fw tank?

If I just give the tank iron and no fertalizer is that fine?

In my 23 gallon planted i have 2 anns anibius, 1 hava fern and 1 plant I can't identify. I have 1 small trickle filter and a small sponge filter.

Welcome to the forums!

While you can add coral to your freshwater aquarium, it generally is not recommended, as it will end up slowly dissolving over time and raising the pH of your water.

As for the fertilizers, it really depends on your lighting. If you have high lighting, adding just iron and no macronutrients will be asking for algae troubles down the line.
