A few days ago, I found what seemed like white poop in my 40 g tank. Yesterday I saw white poop from two of my fish.

All my fish including the two seem active. Since I cannot watch them all day long, I don't know how many of them might have hexamita.

So, should I qarantine the entire tank using metro?

Alternatively, I could soak flakes in a metro solution and feed them. Then, hexamia would be still present in the tank, right? Please advise.

I would prefer to give them metro-charged flakes. But what about hexamita in the tank itself? Am I correct to assume that if my fish has them, they must be present in the tank. That's why I am thinking about dropping metro pills into the tank as directed (I have Fish Zole). Metro isn't supposed to destroy beneficial bacteria, is it?
