I am going to get some Heterandria formosa soon. I currently have six amano shrimp and a colony of about 60 red cherry shrimps in a ten gallon tank. I am wondering if anybody has any experience keeping the shrimp and fish together? Will the shrimp get eaten?

I did not have luck keeping killis and shrimp together. The killis also attacked my otos leaving one with a missing eye.

Heterandria formosa isn't a killifish, is a peaceful livebearer native to the United States. It was kind of mislabled as the least killifish.

They are tiny. Honestly, I would think the shrimp would eat them over the other way around! lol! J/K

My 1.5 is going for some of them, but it's going to be a colony w/ no other fish...

I would think they would be fine with the shrimp.

If you have any reproduction from the RCS then the H. formosa will probably eat some of the baby RCS, but the adult shrimp will probably be OK.

I have kept this species of fish with grass shrimp with no problem whatever. Indeed, whenever I went netting fish in local waters around New Orleans, any sweep through vegetation usually netted both!
