I went away and came back with my filter off and all my fish dead, I had some dead plants as well so I cleaned them out, now all the plants have lost their color and look drab

There is some purple stuff on the driftwood

And this strange white fuzz on my anubius

Can anyone tell me what this is?

What do I need to do?

The fuzz is fungus. I pulled the rhizomes up and brushed them off. The ones I brushed really well were fine afterwards. The rhizomes that had fungus that I missed started to melt afterwards. I don't know of a cure for it, but brushing it off with a toothbrush worked for me...and do it well!

that ananbus is attached to the driftwood, so I should remove the driftwood and brush it off, would that work for the purple stuff to?

is it mold on the wood you may wanna take that out and scrub it and boil and clean

I didn't think about the tank at all, I removed the wood right now and scrubbed it really good, it looks much better, unfornately it looks like I might have lost all my other plants except for the crypts
