Hi

I have a 180litre tank with pressurised CO2. Using the 24hr PH test a 1PH drop should be equal to 30ppm

Ho do you work out CO2 content using KH, I'm led to believe its the volume of the tank in litres multiplied by the kH divided by 50 will give you the approximate number of bubbles per minute.

So in my case (180*3)/50 = 10.8 BPS

Is this right or am I ODing my fish?

Cheers :help:

That sounds really high for a ~50 gallon aquarium.

I've never really trusted or believed in that formula.

I would start about 2 bps.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. My tank is a 40 gallon and I think it seems really low... Did you spot my deliberate mistake - I meant 10.8 bubbles per MINUTE!!

Once the CO2 dosage is consistant (tomorrow same time) I will take my GH and PH and use... erm.. YOUR chart to get a good idea :hihi: ! I'm currently running a 1BPS
