I have a stump-like piece of wood and some great rock for the hardscape...This part of the scape i have figure out perfectly. But i really need help choosing plants so the tank looks natural. I am striving to imitate a scene that could be found in a lake a steam in the US. I plan to use 4 types of plants: 1 tall or stem, 1 carpeting and 2 mid ground.

I already have heaps of windelov java fern and rotala rotundifolia. Although I dont know if they are the right plant for the scene I'm after.

Any recommendations would be great. I have medium light, CO2 and ferts.

This would be better if a picture of the tank/w th hardscape were there to see.
The tank size also as it's hard to see the plant in it's place without knowin how tall the tank is at least.

Here is what it looks like with the wood in place. I think i will bury the arm of the wood a bit more and i haven't played with rocks yet. The hairgrass and HC have been doing a dry-start for 2 weeks now.
