Help with TDS meter

508 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  rodriguezro14
So i recently took to Amazon to buy a TDS meter and silly me took out the batteries basically as soon as I opened it. So now I'm not sure if I need to re-calibrate it since it was factory calibrated when i received it, what do you guys think?

Thanks in advance!

Try to see if it's still within range by testing your R/O water.
If it reads anywhere <3, you might not need to calibrate it right away.
Eventually, you will need to calibrate in the future, so go ahead and order some calibrating solution.
I doubt it needs to be recalibrated. Most TDS pens are calibrated through an analog dial on the back with a small screwdriver. Unless you moved that around or the instructions state that you need to recalibrate after a battery change due to digital calibration you should be fine.

Post up which TDS pen you have.
