So something is eating my plants, tank inhabitants are: Cherry shrimp, and some Corys. I don't think its either, what is it? at first the pennywort was being eaten, now more Important plants are being eaten.
Thanks
Nate

Its worse than that but its the best shot I can get of the pennywort.
Below is the other plant being eaten now, pi55ing me off.

Sorry its blurry, I was holding up the tank light and holding the camera in one hand wobbly.

Are those the older leaves that are disappearing? or new growth too? could it be mobile nutrients being taken away to other parts of the plants?

Pics look almost like the duckweed is eating them....

There is new growth, does duckweed really eat plants ("eat") or u kidding? lol cant tell. Idk if they are disappearing, seems that sometimes the holes (ex the pennywort) form inside the leave sometimes, but most of the time it starts from the outside of the leaf to the in. Not sure about Mobile Nutrients, haven't heard that term before.
Thanks
Nate

Bump: just thought, could it be cryptocoryne disease?

Mobile nutrients are nutrients that a plant can redirect to a different part of the plant if it is lacking. things like potassium are mobile. The plant will redirect it away from old leaves, and that's why people see holes in old leaves when they have a K deficiency.

what about the cryptocoryne disease diagnosis? saw some images of it and it seems like it.

If my plant leaves are yellowing or have brown spots the shrimp will have a snack. Looks like they are eating the plants but really they are doing me a favor. Otherwise, healthy leaves and plants are unbothered.
I've used to have the same problem, and my plants were eaten by ostracods (seed shrimp) if there is not enough food for them like debris, algea, food left overs, they sometimes nibbling on plants
I started to add more K and it seems to be working for the most part. :) well on new growth at least, also ordered some iron.
