Hello!

I think I need a better light than the one that already comes with the tank. I'm not sure if this led is strong enough for medium lighted plants.

I'm going to add a betta in that tank with either red shrimps or a nerite snail (or alone) and I want to add some pretty looking plants like rotala Rotundifolia, rotala nanjenshan, Hygrophila Corymbosa compact (or anubias nana) and maybe downoi or the foreground crypt plant (forgot the name).

This is the tank: Top Fin® Glass Aquarium

Hey, I got this tank also (for a pair of sparkling gourami) and had serious doubts about the bulb as well.. and for awhile I had a desk lamp with a plant bullb in it (right now that is on a plant grow out tub though)..
but oddly enough it seems to be (barely) supporting dwarf hair grass.. but some other plants I have in it are doing really well.
I have had some small crypts in there.. have to see which ones.. and they did fine. Threw some bacopa in for fry (when i was just trying to give the fry SOMETHING to hide in) and the bacopa actually "landed" on the bottom and rooted itself.
The odd thing is though .. well not odd, but I was pleasantly surprised to see.. some cabomba (green) cuttings I have had in there recently take OFF.. with only the little LED light this thing comes with.
I now also have a huge handful of java moss and some floating dwarf water lettuce.
I do not have CO2 but do does regular ferts... but have not put root tabs in this tank (yet). Cool little tank though.
