These were sold to me as Amano's by the LFS..
They don't look like it to me. Anyone know what they are?
They seem to be doing a bang up job of cleaning up my algae.
they look to be really poor quality cherry shrimp. probably males by the pics. the one on the right either has a really bad bacterial infections or okolona parasite that turns them white. if its okolona parasite it will live just fine but can be passed in breeding to the offspring. if its bacterial it will die from it and can be passed to other shrimp if they eat the infected shrimp. keep a close eye on it and make sure none of the other shrimp start turning white like this.
They don't have long claws when they're smaller. The ones in the picture are pretty small.
