Help removing hair/thread algae on moss

579 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  golfwang
I have a few moss on stainless steel mesh that has hair or thread algae growing on them. I've been manually plucking them with my aquarium tweezers, but I wanted to know if I can remove them from my tank and dip them in H2O2 to get rid of the algae?

yup. but don't soak too long in too strong of a solution. might be better to do spot treatment.
Okay, any recommendation on how much H2O2 I should use? For example 1 gallon of water and 10mL of 3% H2O2?
