hey guys i started using excel i ditch pressurized co2 do to failure twice.
anyways i am wondering if any of you that doses excel runs an air pump at night. i run the tank with out the air pump last night with no problems but im concern it may cause and issue to the fish in the long run since plants are not photosynthesizing at night.

No, remember your not adding CO2 your adding carbon. Not sure if I understand what your concern with the air pump is though.

sorry misread. no air pump is needed with organic liquid carbon supplement

the plants will change the ph mildly at night but not by much or enough to make issue

You may need an Airpump, the reason you need to run an airpump when the lights are out because with no lights, plants and animals are both consuming Oxygen in your water column. So it depends how heavily planted and how many fish you have. If that is the case Flourish Excel would probably not be enough carbon in the first place.
