I have a 40g Breeders tank and want to use LED lighting. The tank is planted moderately, however I would like to introduce more plants soon.

I was hoping to get some ideas on lighting.

I am considering the following:
Marineland Aquatic Plant LED Lighting System w/Timer



or



Finnex Ray II


Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

I have been very pleased with the finnex, however if you use a ray2 due to the height of a 40 breeder your going to have to inject co2 most likely

Are you looking to go low tech or high tech?

Thanks for the reply, I think I would like to go High Tech. Does the Finnex have to Lunar setting as the Marineland? Which Finnex are you using?

The ray 2 doesn't have the lunar setting, but the fuge ray (not as intense as the ray 2) dose. But with the height of the of 40b, the fuge ray will still give you great light. More in the medium then in the high light though.
