I'm really hoping it's not too late. Over a decade ago, I got a beta fish + a much healthier version of this plant when some guy from the office was fired. The fish died years ago but its plant is still here. My knowledge of botany really doesn't go past grade school science. In the years after the fish died, the plant has deteriorated in condition. I've just kept it in a plastic tub and changed the water monthly.
Last week I bought after finally realizing plants don't just grow on air and tap water. It says to mix 2 drops/gallon. Since the plastic tub is much smaller than 1 gallon I filled a gallon milk jug, added 2 drops, then "shook well". Doesn't look like it's making any kind of recovery. What can I do to get it growing beautifully?
Since I got it by finding it on said fired guy's desk, I don't even know what it is. Should I get different fertilizer, or plant it in some special soil?
