Help my freshwater angel is dieing

All the fish in my 75 gallon tank are fine and my parameters are in check. But recently my angel has been gasping for air constantly having his mouth open, now it looks like he is missing half his mouth. Also he is sinking to the bottom and really struggling what do i do???????????

What else do you have in the tank?
Put more air in the tank.
Get more water movement.

It's called columnaris

Is the infected area fuzzy white?

Could be a fungal infection and/or Columnaris.

For Columnaris, you must use a antibiotic that targets aerobic gram negative bacteria (which is what Columnaris is). The best med is Kanamycin (found in Seachem Kanaplex). It's been known that combining the use of Nitrofurazone (found in Seachem Furan-2) increases the success rate of curing.

It sounds like it may be too late for the angelfish, but you should still treat the tank/rest of the fish if it is columnaris.

Cooler temps can slow down columnaris progression. (don't drop the temp. too low or too fast or you can weaken the fish, causing more harm than good)

For milder cases, methylene blue dips (in separate container) can help, even for fungus.

If it's true fungus only (not columnaris AND fungus as a secondary infection), then there are other meds you could use instead, such as Seachem Paraguard

+1 you could be dealing with columnaris. if half the mouth is already gone your angel is RIP status. in my experience once the disease is notiveable (white patches / white mouth) the fish is 100% going to die.

what else is in the tank? if you determine it IS columnaris then you need to medicate immediately or all of your livestock is in big trouble. I had good luck with kanaplex + furan2 but like I said the ones already showing signs are probably RIP.

I totally tore down my tank / bleached everything after my infection and it has not come back. my ottos that survived were quarantined for a month after being medicated in a hospital tank and successfully reintroduced with new livestock again (risky but it worked out for me)
Humane way is to put him in a dish of water in the freezer. My condolences!
I think the most human way is to use clove oil. Just google how to do it if you are not familiar. Sorry about your fish.
Ya, euthanize it.. Amen

These type of threads are much more productive if a picture is provided. Your description of the problem does not necessarily mean it is fungal or columnaris. The first step I would take with any illness though is a big water change before any other treatment.

Don't give up yet. Please provide a photo and the stats from your water asap.
We don't know if it is columnaris or not.
Definitely get additional aeration, and a water change.

Man, you guys reach for the clove oil pretty quickly! I'd be awfully frightened if I were your grandparent.
I quarantined my angel and he is still alive(barely) I have been treating him for fun rot since he is missing the side of his mouth, their is so white fuzzy stuff, however a molly just died in my tank so I think they are related, he had slightly bloody gills , my fish are always getting sick so I'm starting to think it is from my rainbow shark. He chases every fish pretty bad to the point where they are gasping for air , I have no place to put him so what should I do ???
If you have a fish that is constantly harassing the others it has to go. Sometimes this is temporary when new fish are added or you break up existing territories in the tank. If it lasts longer that a day or two it probably isn't going to resolve on it's own. This puts a lot of stress on the harassed fish and if there isn't outright injury, the stress alone can make the fish succumb to disease they would otherwise resist. As mentioned a picture would really help. It sounds as if the angel may not make it or should be euthanized.
