Vote for your favorite plant! - voting ends September 16th

So I was thinking we could make a top 10 plant list by starting first with getting nominations. Anyone and everyone post your favorite plant but try for just 1-2 plants. We will tally the votes and the top 10 with the most votes will make the list, and teh top 10 will be in order of the most votes.

This is just for fun so the reason for nomination can be w/e.

But i think if you post your reason for the nomination too it can also be a learning experience for others.

for instance my nomination is Java Fern

I like it because...

- its easy to propagate
- almost impossible to kill (good for beginners)
- can live in fresh and brackish water
- also I think it's pretty (though ill admit not nearly the prettiest)

Top 10 nominations so far - updated 9/12
You dont have to pick from the list! Just voice your favorite plant and if it isn't on the list I will add it, if it is I will tally it. Thanks!

Rotala rotundifolia, because it is one of the most beautiful aquatic plants in the world, but then the fact that it grows so easily and is practically indestructible just makes it the best plant in the world. And the palette of colors that it apparently has to choose from... seriously!!!! Is there any other plant out there that can display such a vast array of color?!

So did I mention that I love rotala?

ok, updated the votes so far, but what i need is a particular plant

So far the "moss in general" vote and the "all crypts" votes aren't up there because it can't be that general. So if you want your nomination to count... just pick one!

Limnophila sessiliflora 1.easy to grow
2. adds nice texture to aquascape
3. adds nice color especially under decent light

Bocopa sp. colorata 1. also an easy plant to grow
2. love the color

Church hurt my feelings, my Rotala colorata all died.
