I bought the Salifert Profi O2 test kit (says it's for freshwater and saltwater) and I carefully followed the instructions for freshwater. I want to get a general idea of my tank's oxygen levels in the morning (before CO2 on) and then again in the afternoon (right around when the CO2 turns off). I'm using pressurized CO2 and I have a drop checker, but I just feel more comfortable knowing what the O2 levels are approximately before I start adding fish. I also wanted to experiment with running an airstone at night and comparing O2 levels.

I'm having a hard time interpreting the Salifert test results. When I let the vial sit out all day, I can watch the O2 dissipate, and watch the color change. Around 6ppm and lower, it's a perfect match. I think my O2 levels are at 8ppm or higher. I'd just like to know if anyone has experience with this test kit, and what are your thoughts? Below are two photos of the same result. Thank you!
