My amazon swords have pin holes, some algae, and curled leaves. Tank is very dirty, I apologize. I will be doing a substrate change and scape soon, complete overhaul. I've been growing a variety of plants in the tank for many month while trying to figure out what I can grow and what type of scape I'm interested in.

Tank: 29 gallon
Filter: Aquatop cf400uv canister
CO2: Pressurized in tank ceramic diffuser 3-5 per second
Lighting: Finnex 30' Planted plus and Finnex 30' Ray2 (only had for a week) running both 8 hours a day probably need to cut back on photo period but just testing things out.
Ferts: PPS Pro slightly more than recommended

I have been able to adjust things to make almost any plant grow well, but my sword constantly get the holes and the leaves curl.

Maybe it's lack of nutrition... I've heard that swords need to be fertilized with root tabs every so often. I don't do any ferts and my swords get holes in the oldest leaves. I have to prune every few weeks.

I've read that pinholes are a potassium deficiency.
