They are reddish, and about 1 to 1.5 inches long.
They burrow in the substrate, and when they are out in the open, they wriggle in the water. move fast. have a "sucker thing" on one end seems to be the tail as they dug with the pointy end.

I saw a post last night about someone with leeches in their substrate, if your saying one side is a sucker then is could be them too, does it shrink thennextend when it moves?

yes when it is trying to get into the substrate it moves like that.. when it was on the surface it wiggled like a cartoon worm would (swimming in the water)
