Hello, I am wondering how many aquarist and pet store are in the Oklahoma area. Me and my wife are moving soon and I'm gonna need help to continue my aquarium hobby. Live plants angels and discus is a plus. I run all natural tanks live plants. If anyone can guide me on the right places to visit, I would greatly appreciate it.

Wet Pets in Norman, OK
-Nice local aquarium store. Has live plants and can work with you to get certain fish. But they have a large supply already.

Check out http://www.theokaa.org/vb40/ for other local aquarium folk. They have monthly meetings and auctions every now and then that include fish, plants, and supplies.

Unfortunately, other than that theres just petco and pets marts

Garden Pont Unlimited in Moore is suppose to opening up a freshwater department during the summer. I haven't had a chance to check on it yet.

There are a lot more salt water related stores than fresh water

I was at Garden Pond Unlimited a week or so ago and there was no freshwater department that I could tell. Forgot to ask them about it though.

Really, the selection in this state is fairly limited. I have had to source most things either from the internet or while on travel.(Dallas isn't a bad place to pick up fish/plants). There are active aquarists in the area, just not at the stores. I accidentally stumbled upon a seller in Norman while I was browsing aquabid. Nice guy, sells subwassertang. I have found people with various shrimp online too. Not much in the way of rare fish.

Tulsa Aquatics has Discus.

Not much in the way of Mom and Pop stores no more one more on Memorial in Tulsa but does just about all SW.
