Height for Coralife t5 NO single 6500k for DHG/S. Repens

I was redoing a setup for my shrimp rack..........
I want to carpet DHG and s. repens.....I'm running supplemental pball co2 @ 1-2 bps

I was wondering what height would be optimal for this growth if I'm using a 36" Coralife t5 NO running single bulb setup 6500k bulb.

My old setup had it sitting right on top of my 12 gallon long, Old setup had the light sitting 7" on top of the substrate on the tank top.

Now I have 5 inches clearance on top of the tank to hang it from as well,
about 12" clearance from the substrate

Thanks, would I be searching for medium light or high light and what would be the optimal height from the tank top or from the substrate?

Will a T5NO Coralife light run with just one bulb? I thought it wouldn't. At 12 inches from the substrate a 2 bulb Coralife T5NO will give you around 40 micromols of PAR, which is low medium light, and probably enough for DHG.

I ran it right on top of my 12 gallon long and it carpeted s. repens. I guess I'll keep the setup and run it straight on top of my tank? That will make it only around 7" from the light to the substrate

Yeah it can run with one bulb, but I have a leeway since I can hang it. What would be best for s. repens and DHG carpeting?
