The only heaters I'm aware of with digital displays are http://www.truaqua.com/aquatop-digital-heater-200-watts.html, but I've never tried one. You can also hook up any heater to a controler that displays the temp on a digital screen, and cuts off the power if it gets too hot.

I personally like the inline hydor heaters, no digital display, but they're under the cabinet and hook up to a canister filter.

Cobalt heaters are awesome. I run them in 3 of my tanks, a 10, 30 and 120. I only run 1x200w in my 120, the manufacturer recommends 2. It has been working perfectly alone, the rooms ambient temp is high enough I guess.

I use ViaAqua Titanium heaters (http://www.amazon.com/ViaAqua-Titanium-Aquarium-Heater-300-Watt/dp/B005345YLI/)

They have digital readout of the current temp and the desired temp. My only complaint is that I use them with an Apex which cuts power to the heater when the temp is at the desired level. When the Apex restores power the ViaAqua resets the desired temp to 78. Most of the time this is ok except if I want to raise the temp for some reason. My fix is to put the temp probe outside the tank which means as long as the heater has power the heater will be on. In this case it's up to my Apex to make sure it turns them off.

+1 I also prefer to run cobalt no digital display ,however it does display temp & water set point , flashing water temp at current temp if to high or low ,sleek black design and shatter proof

Thanks for the info.

I was thinking about getting 4 of these for my QT tanks.

http://www.aquacave.com/Finnex-50W-Heater-with-Digital-Controller-P1980.aspx

The second one is what I am thinking about for my Sump

http://www.aquacave.com/JBJ-TRUE-TEMP-800W-Digital-Titanium-Heater-System-P2651.aspx

A few years back I bought a JBJ true temp, I think it was almost $200 then. It didn't last long before I melted the plastic protective covering (my fault). Then without the protective cover it burned my gold nugget pleco to death. User error aside most importantly I'd like to note that the temperature probe stopped giving accurate readings about 6 months down the road and right after the warranty period was up. So just a heads up. I was skeptical with with the cobalt but so far they all have proven flawless and provide very accurate temp readings. Plus they are unbreakable and if you forget to shut it off on water change won't explode.

Wow that good info. I think I might give the cobalt a try then.

Found these ones as well, still Cobalt, but a lot less money, I think they would be better since it going in QT tank, and sump. The others are really high end on price.

Yep that's the one. They are heavily discounted on Amazon, if they are fulfilled and ship form amazon and you spend more than $25 it's free shipping as well. The 200w is the least discounted though, I paid almost full retail price for it because it's back ordered everywhere for months. I am running 1 x200w in my 120 gallon tank, maintaing a constant temp of 82 for my adult discus. It has been working great.

Just wondering if I really need to spend that much on those heaters for QT and for sump. What do you think about the Eheim Jager?
