what is goin on ym with my heatar it 25watt and 5 gallon tank it set to 26 degre celsous but my thermomenter only say 20.1 and i test with second and same it like my heater is broke i trieyed adding power haead to flow the water but still same i am mad as they store do no refund like everyover store in my village :angryfire please help me please my guppies i think are at life or death :icon_mad:

Does it have a lamp, to say when the heater is on/off?
If so... Just turn it up until the heater comes on, leave it a hour and test temp again with thermometer - never trust the scale on a heater/thermostat!
If that works, keep turning it up a little at a time until you reach the temp you want.
If it has no lamp, you should be able to hear a "click" as the heater turns on/off...

hey tahnks frienned it has light but never turn off sometime it does but vary rare i try turnin to higherset setting and it stay same
i think i have gotten ripped off. it just happend 2 day ago it lost temp now it no go back upare you in a cold climate? if so... And you are using an external filter, the lag the filter with a blanket or similar.
if its an internal filter... I've no idea what's causing the problem, unless you electrics are faulty :-(
I'd buy another heater... It's wise to have a spare anyway.
