I would say glosso. HC is demanding in CO2. Not sure how glosso will grow in no CO2 either.
I've done HC in a nano without co2 no problems, but I dosed excel.
Got HC thriving in my 8.5 gallon 60-F.
Not necessarily a nano... but, I love the way it fills in!
Glosso seems to be less demanding so I choose it. Other than FISHRFun's comment, all I hear is that HC is incredibly difficult and irritating.

HC can be grown without co2 or excel. I believed I saw a thread here by a fellow member and his HC is just as beautiful.

Just look for that thread around here.

i come from reef-land, where anything under 30 is nano:tongue:.

was it in this[plants] subforum?

thanks for all the input guys, i really appreciate it! keep it coming--:help:
i vote blyxa japonica
i vote blyxa japonica
it's a little taller than what i'm going for...but really pretty :p
I voted Glosso, I have M. Quadrifolia which is similiar looking to Glosso.
Glosso baby all the way. Iv'e tried both plants and HC was just a pain where as Glosso thrives great under my 3wpg, DIY co2, i do add NPK+Flourish and excel as well. Once it gets started it grows like a weed and very pleasing to the eye.

HC is nice looking but it grows at a much slower rate than Glosso and also is much more demanding IMO!
i find glosso to grow way too fast and gets out of hand, i personally like hc better, slower but nice carpet effect
Marselia Minuta is nice, it's underrepresented. Never tried it though so no idea about what it likes.

I really like Elatine Hydropiper, but it's not common at all. It's like a little glosso. Your conditions would be fine for it though.

Glosso carpets pretty fast and then becomes annoying to prune. Also, it can grow upwards a little.

HC loves co2 but even without it (using excel) it'd be fine. It's steady growing and looks great.

Good luck!
