did you buy emersed grown HC?

how are your lights and co2 set up?

ferts?

pics would help
Need a bit more info.

Were they emersed or submersed when you purchased them?
Are they emersed or submersed now in your current set up?
What is your substrate?
What are you ferts?
What is your lighting regimine?
If submersed, what is your CO2 methods and levels?
If emersed, what are you doing for your dry start technique?
"Were they emersed or submersed when you purchased them?"
Not sure bought them from aquariumplants.com

"Are they emersed or submersed now in your current set up?"
Submersed

"What is your substrate?"
Aquasoil Amazonian

"What are you ferts?"
Not sure how you want me to explain this but this is what I dosed.
(dry ferts)

Potassium Nitrate
6 Grams

Potassium Sulfate
7.5 Grams

Potassium Phosphate
.5 Grams

Have not added CSM+B I will tomorrow after a water change unless I get told otherwise lol

"What is your lighting regimine?"
Catalina(sp) 2x 54W T5HO. Hanging 8in from the water surface 24in from the HC. On for 5 hours a day. Concerned about algae.

"If submersed, what is your CO2 methods and levels?"
Pressurized. I am still dialing it in. The drop checker isn't blue anymore but it doesn't have the deep green that I am told I should see (dkh4)

I am having a hard time getting a pic that shows what it looks like but the leaves are defiantly dis colored and they fall apart pretty easily between my fingers not like the really healthy looking ones.
They were probably grown dry, and what you're seeing now is the transition to sumbersed. To ease the transition it'd help to up your CO2. Be wary of your drop checker, it's a crude tool that should only be used as ballpark guide. Your animals are a far better indication of where your CO2 is.

How often are you dosing the ferts you listed?

I just planted them on Thursday and dosed for the first time yesterday (Friday).

Nitrate 20 ppm (?)

Just got off the phone with an employee from aquariumplants.com and he said I am way under on my lighting.
I have HC that is doing great since I got it in may. I have t5HO 2x36 and pressurized CO2 in my 30 gallon. I also dose the Pfertz high tech package.

Initially my HC was slow growing and a little discolored like yours but then I cranked my CO2 up a bit and started dosing ferts and now it is growing like crazy and getting thick.

Yeah I just cranked up my co2 no fish no worries right? lol
Yea I'd have your dropchecker yellow, especially if those were grown emersed originally.

Red spots are what looks good still.
Plant Green Natural environment Organism Terrestrial plant

Red spots are what look bad.
Green Terrestrial plant Grass Circle Pattern

One note to make is that the only plants doing really bad are the 10x10 mats i bought the 10 pots I bought look good (couple spots look bad but 97% of them look really good).

Just messed with the matts and the leaves just fall apart. Still some good spots and even some good stuff under the bad stuff.

*crosses fingers*
