I have a 24 gallon cube. It's about 17" wide. I've read through the pinned posts, and I've pored over threads and articles about good lights with good PAR and whatnot. The problem is they're all too wide for my tank, which is atypical. I imagine I'll need some kind of clip on, but reviews almost always have the wide bar lights. I'd like medium light PAR at ~17" at least, this tank is more a centerpiece of plants with fish as an accent so I'd like it to grow well. I'd take recommendations if anyone has any. Currently using some clip on grow lights I have for houseplants as a temporary measure.

1 or 2 16" Finnex Stingray 2's should work.
Just on/off
https://www.amazon.com/Finnex-Sting...=16+inch+aquarium+light&qid=1675531787&sr=8-8
Need more functions?
How about full tank dimensions?

Finnex LED Series Comparison Chart

Finnex is one of the few 16" lights out there
Things like 12-16" ect just aren't enough full coverage in my mind.
Current problems w/ Finnex is the 24/7 programming is err "dated" but functional.
Finnex was showing a new design but available date???
Plus of Finnex is conformal coated boards and above the normal junk power supplies of many brands.
There are a few waterproof brands but 16"???

I don't suppose these could be wired into one another so it's not two separate lights?

Tank is 17" all dimensions. I see some of the kinds you clip on to the back and arch over the tank but it's hard finding the PAR for those, and a lot are for nano tanks.

Sure you can, just requires a different wattage power supply.

Sort of like this:

A few things .. 1) It is possible, though unlikely that the included power supply has enough current for 2
2) Some will parallel 2 power supplies but NOT RECOMMENDED
unless designed to do that.
3) Any controller will be "global" not like per channel in a light though to be clear each light could be on a channel
4) Orig power supply voltage needs to be 12(9 has worked) -24V and each light needs to be less than 4A ( 48W or so, )
Current sharing is a bit tricky.
