has anyone fed their oto cats hikari seaweed extreme wafers. http://www.hikari.uk.com/index.php/products/marine/seaweed-extreme-wafers/

yes i know its recommended for marine but they contain seaweed which freshwater herbivore like. i also read a review on the site where someone said their mollies and otos went crazy for it.

I bought the pellet version for my marine tank initially but don't have enough fish to eat it before it will expire so I made it a staple for my freshwater tank and Amano shrimps.

Unfortunately the tetras and other small fish fish are not picky and go crazy when anything hits the water. I can't say if my ottos went to eat them since few hit the bottom and I only have a few. However it did color up fish with reds much more.

Would be interesting to try. I find the normal Hikari algae wafers go to mush too fast and end up making a bit of a mess (which the snails and shrimp like), not sure if these would hold up better.

I think I spoiled my Ottos by giving them Zucchini though not as much of a fan of the mush anymore .

i put the algae wafers mainly for the shrimp and snails. i bought some cucumber and zucchini so we will see if they eat it.
