I have a carpet that ive had in a semi dry start for months and i noticed one section was growing over itself and i know this is not good to leave as it would eventually uproot. I want to trim it but im unsure how. I took some scissors and cut about an inch off but now its exposed the white part that is hidden under the green. will it still grow back ok?

here are the pics of what it looks like after my "trim"

I never trimmed UG myself, but from my experience with HC Cuba, I would say you stop before it starts getting white/yellow. It is like grass, if it is not green you went too deep.

And yes, it grows back. At least Cuba always does.

Well [censored][censored][censored][censored]. I cut down to white. My UG is overgrown and growing on itself so i cut off the top layer and under it was a white layer. Im worried itll float away but i dont wanna ruin my carpet
