By survive you mean stay alive or spreading?

In San Anotnio, our water source comes from an aquifer is 100% limestone so you can imagine how hard our water is. I can grow HC pretty well, and have had glosso grow. I cant get them as compact as I would like them to be but they still manage.

How much excell are you putting? Whats the size on your tank?

its a 75g system with flourite as substrate, not having issues with any other plants just any foreground/carpet type plants i try...... vho lighting system with corallife 6700 tri bulbs 110watts actually 4.4 wpgs over tank......

i keep wondering if its the High ph here also...

i am useing the IE method for ferts...

+/- 3/16 tsp KH2P04 3x a week
+/- ¼ tsp (15ml) Trace 3x a week

I have the same problem but my water isn't hard.
Algae just grows on my hair grass. They are spreading a little though..
I think the problem is that they were grown emerse and they slowly die in an aquarium but their runners will be fully aquatic.

And lots of CO2 or excel might help.

What kind of water test do you have? Potassium is a pretty hard thing to test unless you have a nice test kit. I always dose K2SO4 it doesnt contribute to alage so excess isnt a big problem.

Mistergreen could be right. Where do you get your plants from?

The key here is the last four words.

Get CO2.
