Here's what I did-
First I put some anchors in the ceiling, then I used the screw hooks.
Get an appropriate amount of chain, gauge is your choice, but keep in mind the larger varieties are heavier.
and I used S hooks to attach the chain to the light fixture.
With this system, I can raise and lower the light as needed. Another thing I like about the chain is that you can level it with your eyes.
In the event that your light doesn't have these handy slots for hanging, you could drill a small hole in a supporting part of the light frame. Use an eye screw/small bolts/washers as an attachment point for the S hook and chain.
