Algae problems r almost always connected with simillar issues.too much light (intensity and time period), not enough nutritiens for a good plants growth(dosing and distributing problems),excess of waste (ammonia) in the tank.it's closed ecology system where plants need to outcompete algae, that's why need the supert for it. Housholde ammonia dosing in a planted tank is causing this kind of algae for instance. So I would put floating plants, get less light, more co2 and fertilisers, check the flow for a good distribution and do waterchanges every week at least 50% regularly. There is lots of great info on UKAPS on this topic. Check it out too. If no improvement in three weeks, I'd be surprised.good luck
