I've just done my annual change of lights. Maybe should stagger this change in the future - but too late now...

Anyway, changed 2 x T8's for 2 x new T6's (25w)
Changed my 55w Daylight PC for the new TriPlus bulb.

This is what happened as a result

Looks like a bad case of hair / thread algae - agree??
Can't really find a cause, or cure for this type of the evil stuff. Any ideas?

Presently adding:
5ppm K 3x wk
1ppm PO4 3x wk
1.5ppm Mg 3x wk
keep nitrates ~10ppm
Micros 3x wk

With pressurised CO2, 30-40ppm
2.3w/us g

50% water change weekly.

Thanks for any help.

:) Pond snails got rid of the algae I had that looked like that. problem is, I've discovered that ramshorn snails won't eat it, but my pond snails WILL mysteriously dissappear if there are ramshorns in there with them. I say they have a purpose other than being a trifle annoying to some people...
